Claret Capital Partners backs Exoticca as it accelerates growth plans in North America by increasing their investment in technology and product.
Barcelona, September 9, 2022 – Exoticca, the next-generation tour operator specialized in multi-day tour packages, has announced today that it has closed a venture debt financing round of €20 million led by Claret Capital Partners and Sabadell Venture Capital. This financing round brings the total capital raised by the company to date – through equity and venture debt – to €66 million.
Exoticca is leading the digitization of multi-day tour packages to enable the online sale of complex trips with multiple components (flights, hotels, transfers, activities, etc.), offering a frictionless purchasing experience while guaranteeing the best prices through a combination of disintermediation and automation. Exoticca’s technology also allows it to provide best-in-class customer support in the destination with real-time monitoring of the travelers’ experience.
Exoticca sells trips to over 60 destinations worldwide to travelers in 7 markets: United States, Canada, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Spain and Mexico.
The new financing will be used to accelerate organic growth with a focus on North America and expansion plans into Latin America. Exoticca has also recently launched a B2B vertical to provide traditional brick-and-mortar travel agencies with technology and competitive travel products. Exoticca is also open to grow through acquisitions.
