Follow-on financing supports Wellster’s European expansion, including the launch of GoLighter in Sweden, its first market outside Germany.
Claret Capital Partners is pleased to announce a follow-on investment through Fund III in Wellster Healthtech (“Wellster”), bringing Claret’s total funding to €10M. The investment will support Wellster’s European expansion, primarily the launch of GoLighter in Sweden, a physician-guided digital platform for evidence-based obesity treatment.
Headquartered in Munich, Germany, Wellster was founded in 2018 with a mission to improve access to effective medical treatments, particularly in areas where patients face stigma, long waiting times or limited access to care. Claret first backed the team in 2022, and since then Wellster has established a strong growth foundation, with €50 million in revenue in 2025, ~70% growth and full year profitability– an uncommon combination in the European digital health market.
The additional funding will enable Wellster to scale its clinical and operational capabilities in Sweden – its first market outside Germany – and establish a launchpad for further growth across the Nordics and Europe, supporting the company’s ambition to build Europe’s leading digital healthcare platform.
Antony Baker, Senior Investment Director at Claret Capital Partners, commented,
“Wellster has built a strong growth model – scaling rapidly while remaining profitable. We’re pleased to expand our funding as the team launches GoLighter in Sweden and takes the next step in building a pan-European digital healthcare platform.”
Dr Manuel Nothelfer, co-founder and CEO of Wellster Healthtech said,
“This financing marks an important step in bringing our care model to patients beyond Germany. With GoLighter, we are addressing one of Europe’s most pressing health challenges – obesity – by combining medical expertise with a seamless digital experience. Our goal is to make effective treatment accessible to millions of patients who are currently underserved by the traditional healthcare system.”
