Claret Capital Partners, Europe’s largest independent growth debt fund manager, strengthens focus on Life Sciences with new senior hire.
Claret Capital Partners is delighted to welcome Joey Mason as a Venture Partner, focused on Life Sciences. Joey will drive Claret’s continued growth across the healthcare innovation sector.
In his new role, Joey will work on building Claret’s existing Life Sciences network, sourcing new deal opportunities, and will act as an advisor to the team.
With over 30 years’ experience in the sector, Joey has been an investor, entrepreneur, financier, director, mentor and advisor throughout his career. His extensive background spans most segments of the industry – including medtech, pharma/ biotech, diagnostics, health IT and techbio.
During his career Joey has served on the boards of 20 private and public companies in Ireland, Europe and the USA, as well as on the board of EVCA (InvestEurope), the trade association for the private equity industry in Europe. In 2021, he co-founded Duplex Capital Partners to advise and fund young companies innovating in the digitalisation of Life Sciences. Prior to this he led a Life Sciences fund at M Ventures, Merck KGaA’s corporate venture arm in Amsterdam, having previously spent 10 years at Delta Partners where his signature exit was the sale of Neuravi Ltd to Codman (J&J).
